Cerebellum

The Cerebellum lies in the inferior and posterior aspects of the cranial cavity, posterior to the Pons and Medulla.

Composition

The Cerebellum is divided into two hemispheres and connected internaly by the Vermis. Each hemisphere consists of Posterior; Anterior; and Flocculondodular lobes.

Function

To maintain muscle tone; - Co-ordinate muscle movement; - Help to maintain balance.

Connections

There are connections via the Medulla Oblongatta

The Cerebrum via the Mid Brain.
